Sentimental Sundays Blog Hop 01/01/2012

Welcome to the Sentimental Sundays “Anything Goes” New Year's blog hop. Sunday, January 1st, brings the launch of the new Sentimental Sundays Challenge Blog and we are all excited to start things off with a fun and prize loaded Blog Hop!

When I started this card I didn't use a sketch but knew I wanted to only use the colors pink, green and white. The image was colored with Copics and the candle flames were highlighted with Stickles. The card base is pink and measures 5 x 7. The pink pin-dot paper is from the Paper Studio and all the others were just various papers from my stash. The edge punch is from EK Success and would you believe I picked it up at a local thrift store for $1?? The sentiment is from Just Rite stamps, stamped with Close To My Heart ink,  cut and embossed with the round Spellbinders Nestabilities. Lastly the peridot-colored bling really brought this card to life!

    I LOVE IT, when you make a great find in a thrift store like that! I was "thrifting" back when I was a teenager, long before it became a trendy thing to do, then it became almost a norm, most people do shop thrift stores now from time to time.
