One of A Kind

I love using dies and Frantic Stamper has an awesome variety. For my card I used Heart Felt Creations Raindrops on Roses design paper, Frantic Stamper Ticket Stubs  (FRA-Die-09142), Sunburst Panel (FRA-Die-09141), Loretta (FRA-Die-09091). The base is Kraft cardstock. I added purchased and Cricut Close To My Heart flowers from the Art Philosophy cartridge and added branches cut with the Martha Stewart medium branch punch. The organza ribbon bow and corner bling was added for some additional interest. I finish the whole thing off by added Tim Holtz Distress Ink for more of a vintage look! The sentiment is from My Creative Time.

Winning Challenges

I have thought about this subject long and hard. It has been on my mind for more than a year but I am sick of it and will not keep quiet any longer. Is it only me or are there other card/scrapbook page creators that have been gypped out of challenge winnings?? I've won many challenges for which I've never received the prizes. In one challenge I contacted the person no less that five times and each time it was a different excuse...I got married, I was out of the country, I'm putting it in the mail etc. (BTW the prize was supposed to be a Stampin' Up set). Lies, all lies. Until this point I've said nothing on my blog about but that is going to end. If a prize can be revoked if you don't contact them in a certain amount of days, they should also be ratted out if they renege on a prize. BEWARE. If you stiff me on a prize you've been warned. As a matter of fact I think I'll permanently post their name in my sidebar for their atrocity for all to see!

Music Soothes the Soul

In case you didn't know, I play 1st violin in a string quartet. I love any kind of stamp, die or paper with a musical theme.

This card features a die and stamp from the Frantic Stamper. The stamp is Frantic Stamper Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp Music Collage (FRA-CLG - 7003) and the die is Frantic Stamper Precision Dies Musical Score (FRA-Die- 09043). I colored the stamp with Copic Markers and highlighted both the horn and clarinet with Stickles. The corner die is from Spellbinders Nestabilities and cut with foil paper. The sentiment is from Close To My Heart while the final touch was the swirl bling from Forever in Time.

100% Rugged

As soon as I received the Frantic Stamper "Cowboy Accessories" dies I knew exactly the image I would pair them with. Using the Kenny K "Tex" digi stamp, I colored it with Copic Markers and highlighted the belt buckles with a glitter pen. I inked in clouds around the image with a stencil and Close To My Heart ink. When I think Of cowboys I think of plaid. I dug around in my stash and found the plaid design paper as well as the burlap. The cowboy hat was cut with craft foam while the horseshoe and the boot spur were cut with foil paper. I left the "cut-outs" of the dies intact for a different look. I crocheted the "rope" with baker's twine. The sentiment was also cut with a Frantic Stamper "Ticket Stubs" die. The sentiment is from Close To My Heart.
