Another Pop-up Box

I just couldn't help myself. When I saw the freebie at Create w/TLC I knew exactly what I would use it for. This is only my second attempt at a pop-up box and although I made a mistake on my measurement, I think I like it better. My final height measures 6" while it should have been 6 1/2." It was early on when I realized my mistake but I didn't have another 12 x 12 sheet of cardstock in the same color.

The image is from Sassy Studio Design and was colored with Copic markers, white Gelly Roll pen and Stickles highlights. The papers are from my stash. The stars were cut with foil paper and a Sizzix die while the megaphone was cut with the Cricut and highlighted with Copic. One star is suspended with acrylic cardstock.

Time for a Vacation

Paulette at Create with TLC had done it again. She has created an awesome digital set that is perfect for this time of year. Whether you are going on a vacation or staycation, this vacation and travel set has everything you need. There are 26 awesome images included. But guess what...it could be yours for free. Just purchase something from her Art Fire store and it will be emailed to you absolutely free!

Below is the card I created with some of the images.

The card base is Kraft cardstock. The background paper is "My Mind's Eye," Lost and Found set. I used Tim Holtz "Vintage Photo" Distress ink to give the entire card a vintage look. The image is from Sassy Studio Designs "Steampunk" collection. It's colored with Copic alcohol markers and "popped up" with foam dots. The finishing touches are the swirl bling from "Forever in Time" and the Baker's twine.

Create w/TLC - Life is Calling

A first for me is using two sentiments on the same card. Paulette at Create with TLC has the most amazing sentiments and it shouldn't surprise me that I am able to use more than one on the front of a card. If you haven't visited the Create with TLC blog you are missing a treat. The sentiments I used are from a newly created set called "Calling You." Sign up to be a follower a receive notifications of fabulous freebies.

This is my interpretation of  Deconstructed Sketch No. 93

Life is a Rose Garden

Just popping in with a quick card featuring a sentiment from Paulette at Create with TLC.

I started by embossing Kraft cardstock with a Paper Studios embossing folder. Then I added Close To My Heart "Daisy White" ink over the embossing. The piece of rose petal paper is from my stash. I cut, embossed and stencil the sentiment with Spellbinders Nestabilites "Labels 13" and Close To My Heart "Baby Pink" ink. The bow was made with white "bridal tulle" while the roses were made with the Cricut Close To My Heart Art Philosophy cartridge. The final touches were the pink pearl bling and foam dots.

No Monkeying Around

Is this the cutest card or what. Paulette at Create with TLC has created the perfect sentiment to go with the Cricut Create A Critter character. Creating this card was a "no-brainer" but a little out of my comfort zone.

For the most part I gear my cards towards adults and usually include a colored digital image. This card with the cute critter could go for either children or adults and as you can see, no Copic coloring.
