I haven't been doing much coloring lately but have still been productive because I have so many images that were just waiting to be used. When I saw this freebie at Create w/TLC I dug out this image and can I say the rest is history?
The image is from Sassy Studio Designs and was colored with Copic Markers and Glitter pens. I started with a Kraft cardstock base and used a the Frantic Stamper Sunburst Panel (FRA-Die-09141) to cut a background image. Next I used Frantic Stamper Wild Mustang (FRA-Die-09136), Cowboy Accessories (FRA-Die-09123) the horseshoe and Coved Labels (FRA-Die-09128) to cut the sentiment. The solitary star was cut with a Fiskars star punch and foil paper. The entire panel I created was popped up with foam squares.
I just couldn't help myself. When I saw the freebie at Create w/TLC I knew exactly what I would use it for. This is only my second attempt at a pop-up box and although I made a mistake on my measurement, I think I like it better. My final height measures 6" while it should have been 6 1/2." It was early on when I realized my mistake but I didn't have another 12 x 12 sheet of cardstock in the same color.
The image is from Sassy Studio Design and was colored with Copic markers, white Gelly Roll pen and Stickles highlights. The papers are from my stash. The stars were cut with foil paper and a Sizzix die while the megaphone was cut with the Cricut and highlighted with Copic. One star is suspended with acrylic cardstock.
I hope everyone survived the Fourth of July fireworks and festivities. I managed to squeeze in a little time for crafting. The pop-up boxes are popping-up all over the internet and I just had to try my hand at it.
The image was a freebie from Saturated Canary. It was colored with copics and the flower highlight her hair is from Paper Studios. The design paper is from Me and My Big ideas. Using Frantic Stamper, Inc dies made it easier than ever to decorate! I used Cartoon Speech Bubbles (FRA-Die-09104) to cute out the sentiment. I also used Small Hope Ribbon set of 2 dies FRA-Die-09216) and finally Coved Labels for cutting out the image. The Hope Ribbon set is close to my heart because I am a breast cancer survivor and keep my oncologists office supplied with cards to send out to patients. There'll be many more of these boxes in my future!
