Dare to be Sassy Thursday #117

It's that time again at Sassy Studio Designs. This week's challenge is "paper piecing." I had a great time making this card. I've never done a lot of paper piecing and couldn't find a good explanation on the web. In a nutshell, you print you image onto your paper...I used Neenah Solar white. Then I took a plain piece of computer paper and taped a small piece of my design paper in the area where the image would be printed. Finally, load that paper back into your printer and print the image again and voila`.

I'm giving my Copics pens a rest so I colored the hair, face, and arms with Prismacolor pencils and OMS. Then I cut the outfit from the design paper and adhered it to the colored image. While I am giving the Copics a rest, I did use one to add some dimension the the outfit. The design papers are from DCWV "All about girls" stack. I used a doily, embossing folder and two Nestabilities die cuts to  add more texture and interest. The image is popped up with foam tape and try as I might, I just had to add swirl bling. The sentiment is from my favorite stamp set called "Classy and Fabulous" from "My Creative Time."

  9. By far the most popular design style, traditional is a mix of beautiful, timeless and well-defined elements. Calm colors, with classic lines, and emphasis on symmetry are all elements of the traditional decorating style.it would look good on
    Plastic card Printing .
