It's time again for the 3rd Annual Link Up for Pink. Click on the link for more details.
This is a cause that is close to my heart because I was diagnosed with breast cancer on February 27, 2009. One in eight women is diagnosed with breast cancer every year. Mine was detected during my yearly mammogram and by the grace of God I am still here. Please remind family and friends of the importance of yearly mammograms. If you cannot afford one, check local clinics because at this time of year many offer free screening. If you are one that is opposed to the Obama health insurance initiative, think again. The low cost insurance plan that just went in to affect would afford the usually uninsured the opportunity to have the availability of such an important procedure easily available. The plan also puts to an end the practice of cancer survivors like myself being turned down for insurance or procedures because of "pre-existing" conditions! Spread the word. "Screening Saves Lives."
I'm a little late getting my first card posted for LUFP. I'd love to surpass my goal of 30 cards from last year. I don't think that'll happen because I will be out of town for four days next week. I'm sure I can post at least 15. An average of one a day is certainly doable. Wish me luck. In the meantime why don't you "Link Up for Pink."
