Sentimental Sundays Challenge #91 - Lace & Pearls

Today's sponsor at Sentimental Sundays is Saturated Canary. This week's challenge is Lace, Pearls and a sentiment. Be sure to stop by Sentimental Sundays to see what the DT has come up with.

I colored the image w/Copics and used a Nestabilities dies to cut and emboss it. The papers are from my stash.  I used lacey hem tape and a Martha Stewart border punch. When I use patterned paper, I tend to use fewer embellishment so added just a few pieces of bling and the pearl accents. As I wanted her sweet sad face to be the star, I decided to stamp the sentiment directly on the patterned paper. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

Dare To Be Sassy Thursday #113 - Traditional Christmas Colors

Sassy Studio Designs Dare To Be Sassy Thursday challenge is "Use Traditional Christmas Colors." Well that's an easy one isn't it? Stop over and see what the rest of the design team created.

I used this sketch from the Heart2Heart blog.

I started with a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" base card and the "Mommy Kissing Santa Clause" image. It was colored w/Copics. The papers are from a DCWV Christmas stack. I used a Sizzix die for the Christmas tree and decorated it with bling and Stickles. Pop-Dots were used under the image and a Fiskars large oval punch on the Close To My Heart sentiment.

Sentimental Sundays #90 - Let's Get Sentimental

The challenge this week at Sentimental Sundays is "Let's Get Sentimental." Let the sentiment be the focus on your projects this week. Let me tell you that I almost always include a sentiment on the front of my cards but prefer somewhat "snarky" ones. Not the case this week. This week I used a stamp that I must have purchased a few weeks ago as I found it swimming in the bottom of my purse in a sea of other stuff that I didn't know was there!

Rachelle #90

The papers are from my stash. The designer paper is part of a DCWV pack. The Nestabilities cuts are from Labels 18 and inked w/Close To My Heart "Red Barn." The corner was punched with a Martha Stewart corner punch. The swirl bling is from Recollections from Michaels while the circle was embossed with the Cuttlebug "Swiss Dot" folder. Hope you enjoy and come back soon.

The Corrosive Challenge #143 - Dimension

Challenge #143 at Corrosive Challenge is "Dimension." Our sponsor is Tiddly Inks. Stop over for all the details. For me, this challenge was a no brainer because "pop dots" and I are BFFs. I almost never create a card with out them.

Rachelle 143.2 2-19-12

A change for me is that the image was colored with pencils and OMS. I highlighted her necklace and hat band with Stickles. I used bronze glitter stock to cut the Sprockets and Sprights w/the Donna Salazer Nestabilities. Using paper from my stash, I machine stitched the background paper to the card base. In my quest to use by Cricut as much as possible, I cut the Eiffel Tower and "Paris" using the summer in Paris Cartridge. The finishing touches are the bling, Tim Holtz "Dream" ticket and paperclip. I added the jute as the final touch to this vintage card that has lots of dimension and texture. Thanks for stopping by.

Cosmopolitan

Today at Papercraft Planet the freebie is "Cosmopolitan." The minute I saw it I thought of this sentiment stamp from Just Rite Stamps that has been lurking in my stash.

The image was colored w/Copics. The papers are from my stash. The frame is a Nestabilities die that was cut, embossed and inked w/Close To My Heart ink. It doesn't show but both glasses were covered with Glossy Accents. The  earrings are covered with Stickles. One corner was punched with a Martha Stewart corner punch. I added swirl bling and a a few other gems. To finish it off I added crochet cotton highlighted with gold accents. My idea was create a very avante garde card. Do you think I pulled it off?

Dare To Be Sassy Thursday #112 - Use Kraft Cardstock

Today at Sassy Studio Designs the challenge is to use Kraft cardstock. I chose a design from the Steampunk collection.

The image was colored w/Copics and coupled w/papers from my stash. I added grosgrain ribbon, glittered paper used w/Sprockets and Sprights Nestabilities. I included several layers, each matted including a minature post card stamp. I also used my favorite swirl bling. To finish, I used the Close To My Heart Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge w/accompanying sentiment stamp along w/Kraft cardstock.

Sassy Sponsorship

Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring FF #99 - Anything Goes at If The Shoe Fits...Scrap It!
This is my contribution to the sponsorship. I love this card! The image is from Sassy Studio Designs and was colored with Copics. I used Martha Stewart glitter on the wings and gel pens on the bow and arrow. The heart was cut with the Cricut while the papers, acetate glitter heart and ribbon are from my stash. The silver doily is from Wilton and was bought on clearance from Michaels as was the swirl bling. The February stamp is from Close To My Heart and the ticket was cut from the Cricut from the Close To My Heart Art Philosophy Cartridge. Hope you like it as much as I do. Thanks for stopping by.

Nurse Heather

This is preview week at Sassy Studio Designs. Be sure to check it out. There will be a new image previewed everyday. This is Nurse Heather.

I colored the image w/Copics and used papers from my stash. This is my second clean and simple card in as many days. What is up with that? The border punch is part of a Martha Stewart "Punch Around the Page" set. The swirl bling, my favorite, is from Michael's Recollection. I hand wrote the sentiment because the battery is dead in my Xyron hand held printer. Although my husband says he can't read my handwriting, I think the sentiment is quite legible! Don't forget to stop by Sassy Studio Designs to see what the other design team members have created.

Corrosive Challenge 142 - Love Bites

Today's Corrosive Challenge is "Love Bites." What does it mean to you? I used Dracula from Sassy Studio Designs who was acutally a part of a Halloween release. In my twisted mind I figured who would know better that "Love Bites" than a vampire!

The image was colored with Copics and because I wanted to keep the design clean and simple I used lots of sewing machine stitching and faux gel pen stitching to add texture and interest. The papers are from my stash and the heart was cut with the Cricut. The sentiment was handwritten with a white gel pen. Dracula is popped up with foam dots. Finally I just had to add a little bling. Don't forget to visit the Corrosive blog to see what the rest of the design team has created.
