Got Milk?

Project #20

Here's another project using the CloseTo My Heart Cricut Artiste cartridge. This "milk carton" cut is fantastic. Using leftover scraps I decorated the sides of the carton. The sentiment is from My Time For Me. I punched it using a large tag punch and attached it using foam dots. I added the bling for extra impact. The piece of baker's twine was just floating around on my desk so I just had to use. The roses are from the Close To My Heart Cricut Art Philosophy cartride as all the leaves. The branches are made using a Martha Stewart Punch. BTW the carton is filled with Lindor chocolates. Of course I'm adding this to the Link Up For Pink Link Up Party!

BCA Nineteen and Counting

If you've been following my progress you know that I've set a goal for myself to donate 31 cards/project's (one for each day in this month) to my oncologist's office in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness month. I plan to upload most if not all here and to the Link Up For Pink Link Up Party. Here's project #19:

Using the Close To My Heart Cricut Artiste cartridge I cut this fun "candy wrapper." I added Lindor chocolate inside and decorated the outside with scraps of paper left over from some of my previous 18 projects! I added baker's twine, lace, and bling to create this really unique project. The sentiment is from My Time For Me. Expect to see more project cut with the Artiste cartridge.

There's still time for you to the Link Up For Pink Link Up Party. With six days left, why not make a card or project for a cancer survivor or someone currently battling the disease. You would surely brighten their day!

Digi Darla Challenges & BCA #18

Hello again. I hope everyone was able to create a card for World Cardmaking Day on Saturday, October 6th. I had a wonderful day of crafting and am even closer to my goal of 31 projects for the Link Up For Pink Link Up Party which continues through October 14th.

Today at Digi Darla Challenges, the challenge is "How Do You Fold?" We want to see your projects with multiple or unusual folds.

Using the image "Lady with Boxing Gloves" and in honor of breast cancer awareness month, I made a twisted easel card.

I started by coloring the image w/Copics and added Martha Stewart glitter on the gloves and bling for the buttons on the shirt. Using papers from my stash I used Spellbinders Nestabilities circle and scalloped circle die-cuts. I used pink bling around the entire image and added a small satin  ribbon. The sentiment is from Sassy Studio Designs. Finally I added foam tape to add additional dimension to the card. It's my first time every making a twisted easel card and I quite like it.

Please stop by the blog to see what the rest of the design team has created. You won't be disappointed in what you see.! Thanks for stopping by and be sure to take care of your breast health!

Find the Cure BCA # 17

Fourteen cards left and one week to go to the end of the Link Up for Pink Link Up Party! I know I can, I know I can.

The image is from The Greeting Farm. She's colored w/Copics and I added Martha Stewart glitter as accents. The papers are from my stash. I also used Spellbinder Nestabilities Lacey Circles, circles, and pennants die cut. I added the small pieces of lace to add more texture. Finally I added lots of bling, dimensional tape and the glittery ribbon die-cut. I added Tim Holtz Distress Ink to give this card a vintage feel to match the image.  BTW did you notice the small embossed ribbons in the pink circle cut? I made my own embossing folder!

How cool is that? Thanks for looking

Card #16
With the posting of this card, I am more than half way to my goal. Yippeee! I know I can, I know I can.

This easel card was super fun to make. The image is from KennyK and was colored w/Copics. The frame and easel were both cut with the Cricut using the "Happy Hauntings" cartridge. I also cut the bats and the cat from the same cartridge. The frame opening is covered with acetate paper for the look of a "glass" pane. The glittery skull is a "Jolee's" dimensional. I added pink glitter paper under parts of the frame to tie in more pink. I fussy cut the three small pink ribbons from a piece of pattern paper. Finally I added bling for the bat and cat eyes and on the inside frame. The spider and acetate web are both from Martha Stewart. I also added faux stitching to the lower part of the frame for some added dimension. The sentiment was created on my computer. What better way to treat yourself than by having your yearly mammogram??? Thanks for looking.
