Another Digi Darla Challenge

It's Monday and that means it's time for another Digi Darla challenge! This week's challenge is sponsored by Delicious Doodles and the theme is "Your favorite die-cuts."  When I think "die cut", I think Spellbinders Nestabilities.

I used the image "A Mother's Love" from Delicious Doodles. I colored the image with Copics and then set about a way to present this awesome image in the best possible light. I used "Deckled Rectangles" to cut the image as well as the sentiment. The design papers are from DCWV's "Nana's Kitchen. I added embossing, machine stitching, roses and ribbon to add dimension and interest. As always I used lots of foam dot.

Sentimental Sundays Thanks/Thanksgiving

It's time for another Sentimental Sundays challenge. This week our sponsors are Bugaboo Stamps and Crafty City. Stella is one of my favorite Bugaboo characters. I love how her sour expression is always accompanied by a snarky sentiment. I think this Thanksgiving image is perfect for the challenge. I colored the image w/Copics and cut it out with a Spellbinders Nestabilities. The backgrounds papers include Kraft and a design from Cloud9 Designs. I added organza ribbon, a few pieces of bling and foam dots to add dimension.

Digi Darla Gift Card Holder

It's time for another Digi Darla Challenge. This week's challenge is to create a gift card holder. Gift cards are quite the rage right now. After all, they are always the right color and size! Be sure to stop by the blog to see what the rest of the dt has created and to enter your creation. Remember we've made a change for our challenges. Now you can use any image your little heart desires but if you use a Digi Darla image you get an extra entry. That's almost as good a getting a gift card to your favorite crafting store!

The image is called "Snow Friend w/gift." I colored it with Copics and added Stickles and bling. Using my Cricut and Gypsy I cut this shaped gift card holder from the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge. I fussy cut the Christmas from a piece of design paper. The acrylic circle with holly and bling are from my stash. I added pop dots and the sentiment cut with a 1" circle punch. Finally I added the satin bow which I think really make the card look like a wrapped pressent.

Unfortunately I made the shaped cut a little too small so I had to add the gift card with repositionable tape on the back. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to stop by DDC to enter your own creation in the challenge to win 5 free DDC images!

Happy 13th Birthday

A very sweet young lady at my church was celebrating her birthday this weekend and it gave me the perfect opportunity to make a card!

I started with a center step card and used two KennyK images colored w/Copics. The papers are from my stash. I used a Paper Studio "balloon" punch and a Fiskars "cloud" punch. I used foam dots to raise the ballons and used bakers twine for the strings. Using glitter paper I cut "13" with the Cricut and Mickey Font cartridge. The sentiment is from an Anna Griffin. Finally I added a few stickers and bling to finish it off. I forgot to photograph the inside but I cut a small envelope with the Cricut and added $10. She was totally surprised and I could tell she loved it.
