Naughty or Nice?

I'm still working with previously colored images but I have not let that stop me from creating Christmas cards with images that aren't necessarily geared towards Christmas.

The image is from KennyK and colored w/Copics and gel pens. I started out with a center step card and used Seems a Little Sketchy weekly sketch. The design paper is one sheet of DCWV cut strategically. It included the snowflake cut as well. I used a Cuttlebug folder to emboss a small paper cut and add even more texture. The glitter and bling snowflakes are from Jolee. The roses were cut using my Cricut along w/the Close To My Heart, Art Philosophy cartridge. I also included a small white Christmas tree also cut w/the Cricut and glitter paper. Digging even deeper in my bag of tricks I added black twine along with a small button that is highlighted with bling. Last but not least is the beaded stick-pin that I made myself and added a sheer ribbon. Thanks for looking.

Winter Wishes

Right now I'm not doing a lot of crafting. I am four weeks post-op from total knee replacement surgery. OUCH! Let's just say nothing anybody told me prepared me for what I've been going through. The surgery and the first two weeks were okay but that last two have been horrible. I wake up every night in excrutiating pain and although I'm on massive amounts of painkillers, they give me the shakes. What does that have to do with this blog? I'm not able to color because when I do it looks like a two-year-old did it! Anything I'm creating now is with images that I'd colored in advance.

This image is from KennyK and colored w/Copics and gel pens. I've been stuck on the glitter paper for some time now and used it to cut the evergreens with my Cricut machine using the Christmas. The snow was also cut from glitter paper. The circle was cut with the same paper as the background but it is the reverse side. The sentiment is a sticker from my stash. I really like being able to use an image that is otherwise not a Christmas image but being able to use for the occasion as I see fit. I used 1/4" pop dots to add dimension to the card. Lastly I used a Gelly Roll pen and shorthand to add some interest around the edge of the card.

Christmas Wish

The Sweet Stop Sketche Challenge blog has this sketch as their sketch of the week.

This A2 card has as its base Kraft cardstock. The background papers are from a two year old DCWV Christmas stack. I used a Fiskars punch for both the borders and the snowflake. The image is from Sassy Studio Designs was colored w/Copic and die cut w/Nestabilites. Using the Nestabilities as a stencil, I added Close To My Heart "Topiary" colored ink. The swirl bling was colored w/Copics. The finishing touches include green & white twine, a button and a Tim Holtz "adage ticket."

Dare to be Sassy Thursday #101

Time again for Dare to Be Sassy Thursday at Sassy Studio Designs. The challenge is "Holiday sparkle." Break out your bling and glitter and show us your most sparkling creations.

I started with an A2 card base and used a 1/2" Crop-A-Dile corner chomper to jazz it up a little. I found the glitter swirl paper in my stash. Using the Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge I cut the snow globe from white and red glitter paper. The evergreens and the reindeer were cut from the Christmas cartridge. Of course the super sexy image is from SSD and colored with Copics. The sentiment is a sticker and from my stash while the holly was cut from the Art Philosophy Cartridge and highlighted with bling.
