You Rock

I make this card for a friend to give to her sister. I don't know the sister but based on the things I've heard her say she is often the life of the party. She's hip, well-liked and just a fun person to be around. I hope she likes it!

Kenny K Black and White Challenge and New Images

Kenny K released two new images and a new set of sentiments called "Social Media" and as usual they are awesome. I can't tell you how fast I scooped up the entire bundle. The new images along with their theme "Black and White"-- one of my favorite color combinations,  got my creative juices flowing and this is what I came up with.

This image is "Retro Selfie." I cropped it then colored it with Copic Markers. After fussy cutting it I attached to a Frantic Stamper Inc "Instant Camera 3 x 4 Photo card" die. The paper is form My Minds Eye. I rounded two opposite corners with a "Crop A Dile Corner Chomper." I replaced her retro camera with a one from the photo card set. The KK sentiment was cut with a stitched die from the Frantic Stamper Inc Elementals #1 set. Finally I added Tim Holtz "Film Strip Ribbon", bling and flowers from my stash.

Scary Words

The year is slowing coming to a close. Can you believe it's October already? This is breast cancer awareness month so be you are up-to-date with your mammogram and take care of your breast health. As usual in October expect to see lots of BCA cards but this isn't one of them. October is also Halloween month and I absolutely love making Halloween inspired cards. Expect to so lots of those here as well.

Today is the start of Challenge #181 at Kenny K's Krafty Krew. The theme for the next two weeks is
Orange and Black.

I used Trixxie Treat from Kenny K and printed her "big head" style. I colored here with Copic Markers adding Stickles, Liquid Glass and a white Gelly Roll pen to add highlights and additional interest. I cut and embossed the image with a Spellbinder Nestabilities Oval die. The background paper is from Martha Stewart. I also used "Scary Words" dies from Frantic Stamper highlighted with white ink. Finally I popped the image up with foam dots.

OMG - Exciting Kenny K News

Hello again KennyK fans! We've got a brand new collection coming out June 23rd, and we haven't got any names for these girlz yet.........so we're going to leave it in your hands and let you choose the names. Now if you want to win one or more of these cuties, then get your thinking caps on and give us your best names you can come up with for them. Each girl has a number underneath them, so what we want you to do is.........
  1. Write up a blog post with your name choices for each girl or just one girl as long as you put the number for them ( i.e. 3. Rachel).
  2. Copy the poster to your blog post, then go to the Krafty Krew blog and link up your blog post with Inlinkz.
KennyK and Elena will be checking out your blog with your name choices and will choose the ones they think best match the girlz. If your name/s are chosen, then you will win the girl/girlz for the winning names. This contest will run until June 21st, and the winners will be announced on the day of release JUNE 23RD. GOOD LUCK!!!
