Sassy Studio Designs Star Wars Release Hop

Today is the day. The wait is finally over. All you Star Wars fans are in for a real treat! So hold onto your seats and get ready to be amazed by the new Out of This World designs!

You should have arrived here from Kitty's blog after experiencing the awesomeness of her creativity. If not following the hop order below.

Meet Earnest the Ewok. I gave him that name. I am not a Star Wars fan and didn't have the slightest idea what an Ewok is. I that Chewbacca was an Ewok! Anyway, thanks to Google I think I did a pretty good job of bringinging my Ewok to life.

I colored the image with Copic Markers highlighting the end of the spear with a Glitter pen. The base is Kraft cardstock. The paper is from DCWV and I used die cuts from Frantic Stamper Stitched Scene Builder Edger as well as the Mushroom Trio. The sentiment is from Create w/TLC and was cut with a Sizzix Stars #2 die. Earnest is popped up with adhesive craft foam. I also incorporated glitter paper and Faded Jeans and Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

It's time for another Dare To Be Sassy Thursday at Sassy Studio Designs. As the year is winding down, my creativity is at a high point. I am practicing my coloring in an effort to keep up with my own high standards.

Sassy Studio Designs Flashback Friday

Every since I upgraded to Windows 10 my computer has wigged out. This post was scheduled for last Friday. When I checked this morning it still hadn't posted WTH. 

It's time for another Sassy Studio Designs Flashback Friday. Every Friday the Sassy Studio Designs team will provide you with inspiration on a particular image. These are images are ones that may have been forgotten about, or need a little extra lovin!

After coloring the image with Copic markers, using Kraft cardstock I cut two blackout images of an apple with the Cricut. I scored 1/2" down from top on one image then added glue above the score line to glue the two images and created a shaped card. I continued cutting the other layers of the apple and glued them all together. Next I added Ranger Vintage Photo Distress Ink to the edges to add some additional depth. I added Stickles to the bottom of the apple for some sparkle and used foil paper and a Martha Stewart punch for the butterflies. I used Frantic Stamper Precision dies to highlight the sentiment and the "bluebird" along with blue glitter paper. I thought the card was looking too CAS so I added the Frantage and got just the look I wanted. Finally the sentiment was a freebie from Create w/TLC.

Sassy Studio Designs Fun in the Sun

Today Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring the Passion for Promarkers challenge. The theme is "Fun in the Sun." It's a great theme because we are in the throes of a heatwave. So please join us with your fabulous papercrafts.

What better way to celebrate Fun in the Sun than with a beach themed party. I started by coloring the Simply Sassy Swimsuit image and colored her with Promarkers. Next I chose the craft cardstock base and paper from my stash. I used the Frantic Stamper Stitched Scene Builder Edgers along with Ranger Vintage Photo Distress Ink to simulate sand. I added cuts from the Frantic Stamper Ocean Floor Icons to continue with the beachy scene.

I added the Dienamics Accent It Reel life dies cut and another Frantic Stamper die--Tropical Drinks using foil paper. Finally I stamped and trimmed the actual the sentiment card using a Close To My Heart stamp. Doesn't it look inviting?

We're all Stars Blog Hop

Today's the day! That's right. It's time for another Sassy Studio Designs Blog Hop. You should have arrive here from Tanya's blog. If you didn't be sure to check the list below to get back on track.

Now feast your eyes on this! I colored Cleo Portrait with Copic Markers highlighting her eyeshadow with glitter glue. The design papers are from DCWV's Stardust stack. I also used Kraft cardstock cutting it with a Frantic Stamper Stitched Scene Builder Edges die and embossing it with the Swiss Dot Cuttlebug embossing folder. The image was popped up with foam squares on top of a circle cut with a Spellbinders Nestabilities die. The stars were cut from gold foil paper using both a Fiskars and Teresa Collins punch. The sentiment was cut with a 1 1/2" circle punch.

On this inside the sentiment was cut with a stitched die frame from the Frantic Stamper Elementals #1 die set.

Flashback Friday 4/24/2015

Hey all you Sassy Studio Designs fans. It's time once again for Flashback Friday. Every Friday the team will provide you with inspiration on a particular image. These are images are ones that may have been forgotten about, or need a little extra lovin! The selected image will be available at a discount for one week! This week's image is Sassy Bunny Pinup.

Here's my take on it.

I started by coloring the image with Copic Markers. Next I rolled up a small piece of a cotton ball and glued it to the tail. I added flocking to the ears and bling for the earring. I used a Martha Stewart punch and foil paper for the hearts. The design paper is from Recollections. The sentiment is from The Unity Stamp company, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and punched with a Fiskars large oval punch. Be sure to stop by the Facebook group for more inspiration!

ho ho ho

Using my "go-to" sketch, this card went together super fast.

The image is from Sassy Studio designs and colored with Copic markers. I enhanced the "fur" with "Polar White" flowersoft. I added bling for her earring and very tiny cotton ball for the end of the hat. I also used a glitter pen on the belt buckle. I used one my favorite Spellbinders Nestabilities, "oval," to cut and emboss the image. Using foil paper I used one of the Frantic Stamper Inc. "stitched frame" from the Elementals #1 die set. I didn't have a stamp with the famous "ho, ho, ho" sentiment so instead made my own with Frantic Stamper Inc. "Mattie Thin Lower Case Alphabet." Adding foam dots was all that was left to add. Super easy and super cute.
