365 Day Challenge

I made this card for my mother's 77th birthday. It's perfect for the 365 Cards challenge to use numbers as focal point of a card.

Another card challenge

Linda at Lindascreativity Blog also has a challenge going on. The challenge is to use some kind of embossing. I could have used the card I posted yesterday but came up with this idea and just had to share.

Nearly everything for this card was gifted to me by a scrapbooking friend.
Paper DCWV
Image stamped at a friends house so don't know the name
Sentiment from the internet
Oval Spellbinder Nestabilities
Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits
Cuttlebug embossing folder (I hadn't embossed the frog originally but thought the swiss dots would be great to simulate warts!)
Stand from Serenade
Frog from Disney Friends (?)

I LOVE this card. It has a lot going on and while I don't using like that, the texture and the feel just seems so right.

A page layout and a card

I love making cards and that could be because I am sorely lacking in scrapbooking skills. This is a page that I am working on of my granddaughter. I still need to add a title and some journaling.

I'm also working on a set of vintage-looking cards. This is the first of five.

My latest cards

I haven't been doing much crafting--mainly I've been a "bump on a log." I did spend a little time coloring with my Prisma pencils and Gamisol. I see the wonderful things people are doing with the Copic markers and while I do love the look, I don't have the skill to use nor the desire to purchase any. I'm very crafty and talented but I am the only one in my family that cannot draw! Where was I when that was being given out?? I wonder if the people that are using the Copics are either artists and or painters? Here's a couple of cards I made last week. The last one was stamped and then I used Flower Soft and glitter. I like the effect.

I'm mainly working on finding my niche. So far I've realized that I want to use Stickle, glitter and/or bling on everything!

Thank You

I put this card together this morning based on a sketch that I viewed on the Cokie Pop site. Dedicated as I am, I made a feeble attempt to make it to work this morning and got stuck at the end of my driveway. To add insult to injury, I also locked myself out of the house. I have to trudge to a friends house around the corner who pulled himself out of a nice warm bed with his wife and helped me resolve both issues.
