If You Stumble

I don't know what your creative process is but mine usually centers around my sentiment. I love sentiments and my most favorite are those available at Create with TLC. I'd never used this particular sentiment before because I didn't have an image that was worthy enough. I recently came upon this Mayzy Art image and knew I'd hit the jackpot!

The card base is Kraft cardstock. The background papers are My Mind's Eye "In Bloom." The image is Mayzy Art's "Digi Dancer Ballet" stamp and was colored with Copics. I used Tim Holtz "Vintage Photo" Distress Ink to ink distress the edges and pink pearl bling to highlighted her hair, arms and dress. The pearl swirl bling is from Recollections. The flower was made with the Tim Holtz "Tattered Flower Garland" die. It was highlighted with Distress ink and finished off with pink, round rhinestone bling. The satin ribbon is from American Crafts. Foam dots were the final touch to add dimension while a Fiskars extra large oval punch was used with the sentiment.

Corrosive Challenge Fancy Folds

It's time for another challenge at Corrosive Challenge. Based on the entries from the last fortnight challenge, you all are gonna love this one. Everyone knocked it out of the park with the "Shape Up" challenge so I can only imagine what you all will do with this one. Our challenge for the next fortnight is "Fancy Folds." We want to see easel cards, step cards, you name it, but you must make a project with more than one fold. Our sponsor for this challenge is Mayzy Art Digital Stamps.

I used this image from the "Lovely and Dashing:" collection to make this wedding card. I call this a "tall step card." It measures the same as an A2 size card. The image is colored with Copics with highlights made with Stickles and the Copic Spica glitter pen. I also added clear, round, rhinestone bling and peel-off stickers from Paper Studios and Starform. Finally I used a Spellbinders "ribbon" die along with a sentiment from a $1 clear stamp. I used the die also as a stencil along with Close To My Heart "grey flannel" ink to added dimension to the sentiment.

Below is the card I created with some of the images.

The card base is Kraft cardstock. The background paper is "My Mind's Eye," Lost and Found set. I used Tim Holtz "Vintage Photo" Distress ink to give the entire card a vintage look. The image is from Sassy Studio Designs "Steampunk" collection. It's colored with Copic alcohol markers and "popped up" with foam dots. The finishing touches are the swirl bling from "Forever in Time" and the Baker's twine.

Life's A Beach

I seem to be in a "scene creating" mode. I created this using the "Cheeky Beach" stamp from The Greeting Farm.

I colored the image with Copic and Prismacolor alcohol markers. The palm tree and sun were both cut with the Cricut Expression using  Doodlecharms and Wild Card cartridges respectively.

The background paper are from "Paper Studios." Both the "gull" and "crab" stamps are from the $1 clear stamps at JoAnn's. The sun's "face" is stamped with Peachy Keen stamp #440.

The "beach towel" is a piece of burlap while the sentiment is from Create with TLC. I added Stickles, brads, bling and some highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen and Tim Holtz "Vintage Photo" distress ink.

Teenz Rock

Good morning all. I hope everyone is recovered from their Fourth of July celebrating and ready for some Krafty Krew inspiration. As of last week the Krew changed to fortnightly challenges and this is just a mid-week reminder that there is still time to enter! The theme for another week is "Teenz Rock." We want to see your projects geared toward "Teenz." You could be the winner of gifts sponsored by:

and

Good luck and please stop by the Krafty Krew blog for more inspiration and to enter your own design!

This is one of my most favorite cards since I discovered card making about three years ago. I had no idea what I was going to do when I sat down at my craft table. The first idea was to make an easel card and from there everything else just seemed to fall into place.

The image is Tomboy Trouble from Kenny K and colored with Copie markers, of course. The sentiment is from Create with TLC.   The background papers are DCWV. The sun and grass are Cricut cuts. The cloud, fence, sentiment shape are die cuts from Fiskars, DieNamics, and Spellbinders repectively. Also featured is sewing machine stitching, a Close To My Heart tree stamp, Stickles, Close To My Heart "Topiary" and "Brown Bag" ink. Finally I added Tim Holtz Distress Ink to the sun and fence and foam dots to raise the image. Last but not least I couldn't resist adding the "button dog" left over from a previous project and the bling flowers. I hope you love it and are inspired enough to get going in creating your own project to up load to the Krafty Krew blog!
